Magic 107, Trail Blazers 104: Post-Game Notes

• Portland’s 6-0 record at the Rose Garden this season ends as the seventh best home start in team history. Portland’s 7-0 start in 2008-09 also ended with a loss to the Magic.
• Tonight marks the 166th consecutive sellout at the Rose Garden (including regular season and playoffs), dating back to Dec. 21, 2007.
• Marcus Camby recorded the first Trail Blazer points of the game for the second consecutive night, his bucket put an end Orlando’s 8-0 run.
• Entering tonight’s matchup the Trail Blazers were holding opponents to a league-low 23.7% shooting from 3-point range. The Magic shot 75% from downtown in the first quarter converting on six of eight attempts.
• The 16 3-point field goals made by the Magic tonight tied an NBA season-high. Cleveland, and San Antonio have also knocked down 16 threes in a game this season. The all-time high for made 3-pointers in one game against the Trail Blazers is 17. Orlando hit 11 3-point shots in the first half, one shy of tying an all-time record for made 3-pointers against the Trail Blazers in a single half (12, Milwaukee-1/5/01).
• The Magic shot 59.3% behind the arc for the game, the highest percentage recorded against the Trail Blazers this season
• The 36 first quarter points scored by the Magic were tied for the most points the Trail Blazers have surrendered in a single quarter so far this season (Dec. 29, Denver-36).
• The Trail Blazers forced 18 Orlando turnovers on the night, leading to 24 points. Portland gave up just seven turnovers on the night.
• Jamal Crawford converted the first four-point play of the year for the Trail Blazers in the second quarter. Crawford is the NBA’s all-time leader in converting four-point plays with 34 in his career. Jamal Crawford recorded a season-high 24 points, his third 20-point performance of the season.
• LaMarcus Aldridge recorded 23 points (10-of-17 FG) in 40 minutes. Aldridge has reached double-figure scoring in every single game this season.
• The Trail Blazers lost for the first time this season when Gerald Wallace reaches double-figure scoring. Wallace scored 15 points (6-of-12 FG) and has shot 50% or better in every home game this season.
• With eight assists on the night point guard Raymond Felton has led the Trail Blazers in assists in nine of 10 games this season.
• Orlando held a 42-32 advantage in the rebounding category, the fifth consecutive game the Trail Blazers have been outrebounded. Portland outrebounded their opponent in each of the first five games this season.
• The Magic set a new season low for free throw percentage in the NBA this year by shooting 47.4% from the charity stripe. The previous low was 50% by New Orleans, 1/1/12 against Sacramento.
